The Limestone Foundation exists to strengthen rural and underserved communities in two ways: by meeting real needs where we find them, and by equipping residents with the civic knowledge to understand and shape the government that serves them.
We believe a community is only as strong as its access to both support and truth. Support, when families, schools, and public servants fall through the cracks left by shrinking budgets. Truth, in the form of clear, nonpartisan information about how government actually works, including where money flows, how representatives vote, and who’s really shaping the decisions that affect rural America.
Through direct community investment, and through a public civic education initiative that tracks legislation, government spending, and the influence of money in politics, the Limestone Foundation is building both the safety net and the transparency that rural communities deserve, starting in Missouri, with the goal of reaching underserved communities nationwide.
Civic Education Initiative
Rural communities are too often left out of the conversation about how government works, and who it’s working for. Our civic education initiative is a public, nonpartisan database that tracks legislation, campaign finance, lobbying activity, and voting records, giving residents the same clarity and access that’s usually reserved for those with the time and resources to dig for it themselves.
